About the server
PlanetNostalgia is a Minecraft Alpha 1.1.2_01 server. We host the iconic "Nuclear-Green-Grass" era to give people nostalgia, maintain the golden days of Minecraft and allow players to experience Minecraft Alpha once again.
We use heavily modified server software, but the game still feels like classic Alpha. Players can protect their builds and chests, and staff have logging and rollback tools to deal with griefing. We also have anti-cheat protection to help keep the server fair.
We run regular minigames and server events. These include Spleef, BlockBall, TNT Run, WordScramble, build competitions, Discord events and PvP events, with more added from time to time.

Please read the Discord and Minecraft rules before playing.
Discord rules
No harassment or threats
Do not harass, threaten or constantly target other members. Jokes are fine, but stop if somebody is clearly uncomfortable with it.
No spam
Do not spam messages, images, GIFs, links, commands or mentions.
No advertising
Do not advertise other servers or DM advertise to members. Mentioning another server is fine, but posting invites or server IPs needs admin permission.
Use channels properly
Keep things in the right channels. Use #support for support and open a ticket for private issues or reports.
Keep drama out
Do not bring personal arguments or callouts into the server. Sort smaller problems out privately. Report serious problems to staff instead of starting a public argument.
Keep it safe for work
No NSFW, pornographic, illegal or overly graphic content. This applies to messages, links, images, usernames, profiles and voice chat.
Protect privacy
Do not share somebody's private information, including real names, addresses, IPs, emails, private photos or accounts. Doxxing or threatening to leak somebody's information may result in an instant ban.
No trolling or toxicity
Do not join just to annoy people, bait reactions or cause problems.
Voice chat
Be respectful in VC. Do not use loud audio, constantly interrupt people or use soundboards to annoy everyone. Staff may mute, move or disconnect somebody who is being disruptive.
Do not impersonate people
Do not pretend to be another player or staff member.

Use /rules in-game for the full server rule list.
No griefing or stealing
Do not damage another player's build or take their items without permission. Building in unclaimed wilderness is allowed, but existing builds are still protected. Ask staff if you are not sure whether a build has been abandoned.
No cheating, duping or exploiting
Do not use hacked clients, x-ray, prohibited mods, duplication glitches, bugs or any other unfair advantage. Do not keep, use or trade unobtainable or exploited blocks. Report exploits privately instead of showing other players how to use them. Serious cheating or exploiting may result in an instant ban.
Do not abuse the economy
No scamming, bug abuse, unfair shop exploits or real-money trading.
Do not deliberately cause lag
Do not spam entities, overload chunks or build things intended to damage server performance.
No ban evasion
Do not use alternate accounts, VPNs or other methods to get around a mute or ban. Do not help another player evade their punishment.
Do not beg for ranks and items
Do not beg staff for ranks, items or special treatment. Use the correct application or donation channel.
Keep the main chat in English
Please use English in the main public chats so the staff team can moderate them.
Listen to staff
Follow reasonable instructions from staff when they are dealing with a problem or enforcing the rules. If you think a staff member has acted unfairly, open a ticket and speak to an admin rather than starting a public argument.
Use common sense
Not every possible situation can be covered by the rules. If something is clearly harmful, unfair, disruptive or puts the server or its players at risk, do not do it. Trying to find loopholes or saying something is not specifically listed will not protect you from punishment.
Reporting
Use /report <username> <reason> to report somebody in-game. For griefs, use /grief or post in #report-a-grief. For serious incidents or private evidence, open a ticket.
